I love this Maureen! I sometimes think I skirted a mid-life crisis by writing my way through it. But I love the idea of reframing crisis as a chance to begin again. I know I have so much more living to do and age is not going to stop me.
I really enjoyed this post! I’ve had my own mid-life questions this year (I’m 56), and it has been revelatory and at times quite painful. But also very creative as long as I can stay open to the possibilities.
Thank you for reading! Revelatory + Painful I would agree. Kind of like how the Japanese character for opportunity is supposedly comprised of two words Danger + Opportunity
Some days, it's funny strange and some days it's funny ha-ha. I'm waiting for this struggle to magically end like I read about the mythical having no f*cks left to give. LOL
So good. Opportunities abound I’m gonna come back to this one. Thank you. Well done.
aw thank you for the shout out!
I was delighted to find your newsletter!!

I love your reframe “As my midlife quest (not crisis) for self-acceptance” - funny that one can hit this age of life and struggle with this 🫶🏻
