I admit to laughing out loud at the ticticatica. I think we've all made a similar blunder, refusing to see the obvious through the patina of romantic visions. While my current house is a bit more stable, I learned the real meaning of the words "deferred maintenance" in a big way these last few years. And nobody to put a hand on my back to say, Steady, and laugh. I just had to find the funny. Lovely, Catherine. More please. .

Beautiful. Absolutely beautiful. And I am so glad someone has the courage and the vision to live their dreams and take custody of such places.

I too have the super power of seeing the potential in places, businesses, even people. Oh if only I can love them up then they can give me back what I so long for - comfort, security, belonging. How often has the reality of “who they are being in the world” crashed into my beautiful fantasies. And yet me persist - us the dreamers and the adventurers… and yet I do wonder what it would be like to find someone / something that didn’t need me first to give the marrow of my bones before I get the resting place my heart wants and needs and deserves.
