Good for you! The article was well researched and highlighted a topic that needs normalizing. Did you by chance read my most recent post, https://open.substack.com/pub/louisejulig/p/when-shame-loosens-its-grip?r=29kh6&utm_medium=ios&utm_campaign=post ? It’s also about talking about the things we’re not supposed to talk about. The more I do it, the braver I get! And BTW my daughter the journalist said she never reads the comments on her articles and I think that’s great advice.
I had read your piece and I just reread it. Great advice this: "Shame feeds off silence, and starves when we tell our stories." Your daughter is also correct, I read the comments on day one, but haven't returnes for more. I was glad to have done that though as it made crystal clear how unsupportive commenters are really just grinding their own ax. Thanks for the read!
It's difficult to be vulnerable and authentic. A well written article on an issue that needs to be destigmatized. Kudos!!
Thank you for reading!

It will be more than fine.
Thank you for that.
I need it.
and it will be.
Another fine assemblage of prose to further enrich and educate the reader(s)!
