Love your writing! Feel like I've been in an existential crisis my entire life. Trying to relax and just "be" or "be me" seems like a challenge. And at 65, I have so much more to do. The push and pull of emotions serves me not. Also, a weighted blanket has done wonders for my sleep--and I have no trouble sleeping. It's like being held by a comforting bear. Do try it!
Thank you for telling me that. It's hard to believe sometimes that others will connect with this thing I love to do. Speaking of which, BEing is hard. I question myself a lot...is this who I am supposed to BE? Who I was "meant to be?" Ugh. That's a lot of pressure...and not comforting like your weighted blanket! Keep DOing what makes your happy, the things that fill your cup.
Love this... and was totally contemplating my own post about this song!!
As someone who flipped the entire freaking table on her very solid, "happy" life at 36 years old and never looked back, I'm intrigued about the concept of being in "crisis." That table flip was certainly crisis, and it led me to wandering and wondering a LOT.
Thank you for this post. And for being a fellow Taylor fan!
You know that thing about the Chinese character for crisis being comprised of the symbol for danger and the symbol for opportunity? How the character really translates is more accurately *the moment when things begin to change* .... like when a table gets flipped! All good things ahead!
